General Skills/Qualifications: - Excellent communication skills: verbal, listening and written. - Works well independently or in a team - Ability to interact with Tier-1 customers in a highly professional and effective manner. - Advanced knowledge of networking protocols. (TCP, UDP, IP, QoS, etc..) -Advanced knowledge of Layer 2 and Layer 3 network design and deployment - Knowledge of RF systems and theory - Advanced knowledge in the design, configuration and deployment of the following communication infrastructure components: - LAN architectures (Access Networks, Branch Office/MDU, Campus Networks) - NOC components (Servers, Routers/Switches, NMS, etc..) - A Bachelor or Masters in Computer Science/Engineering or Electrical Engineering - +3 years of relevant work experience Pre-Sales Engineering Tasks/Qualifications: - Ability to participate and/or lead technical conference calls, webinars, training, sales presentations to engineers and executive C-Level management - Ability to create and update training material, User Manuals, and other related documentation. Field Engineering Tasks/Qualifications - Ability to travel. Periodic travel to visit onsite customer installations will be required. - Hands-on technical skills to install, configure and optimize a variety of networking, BPL and RF systems Post-Sales Engineering Tasks/Qualifications: - Occasionally provide technical post-sales e-mail/phone support - Must have the hands-on technical skills to troubleshoot and quickly resolve networking problems for Tier-1 customers Assets: - CCNA (or equivalent networking knowledge) - Knowledge of BPL (Broadband over Powerline) - Experience with the designing and deploying VoIP, IPTV / Multicast networks - Experience or Knowledge of Smart Grid / AMI Networks and Electrical Power distribution systems - Knowledge of Wireless (802.11 b/g/n) Networks - Knowledge of WAN network technologies (Wireless, Fiber, etc.) - Fluent in another language |
