This is an excellent opportunity to work in a well-established international company Job description. This is very much a hands-on technical role, and provides an excellent learning experience for candidates wanting to further their career into the field of Information Security. We are looking for talented, ambitious and dedicated software engineers or specialists that are interested in becoming part of a security incubator. This role will suit someone who has a real interest in information security and IT infrastructure in general, and a demonstrable aptitude for applying computing concepts and their skills to solve real problems. Focus is to pilot and mature technology and process to address unsolved security problems within the company. Some of the main areas of investigation include identity and authentication, data protection, threat mitigation, secure mobile devices, secure applications, compliance and other miscellaneous projects Since we do pilots around new technologies with not well defined requirements, ideal candidates should be able to work under little guidance, with strong analytical and problem solving skills. Motivated and enthusiastic software developers. Knowledge of IT security disciplines would be ideal. |

Responsibilities: - writing code to customize or build tools that use these products to improve security posture - deploying internal security, analytics or mobile products - help design, develop and pilot security tools as part of a small team - pick up new technologies and implement prototype and production solutions Skills required/strong advantage: - Agile Development - Java / web application development - General security - Knowledge of IT security areas: authentication / network / data protection - DB proficiency (DB2, SQL) Skills nice to have: - Knowledge of security products (Tivol / SWG) - Mobile application development - WebSphere Application Server - Any of DB2 | mySQL | PostgreSQL - Any of PERL | PHP | Ruby | Python | javascript - Web Application Architecture - Linux | AIX Required - Degree in information technologies or a related subject - Willingness to learn and become proficient in new areas - English: Fluent Preferred - Master's Degree in Information Technology |
